Robert Herjavec is a dynamic entrepreneur and a leading Shark on ABC’s Shark Tank. Born in Eastern Europe, he arrived to North America on a boat with his parents after escaping Communism in the former Yugoslavia. From delivering newspapers, and waiting tables, to launching a computer company from his basement, his drive to achieve has led him to the fulfillment of a better life for himself and his family. Robert has built and sold several IT companies to major players such as AT&T. In 2003 Robert founded Herjavec Group, and it quickly became one of North America’s fastest growing technology companies. Today, Herjavec Group is recognized as a global leader in information security specializing in managed security services, compliance, incident response and remediation efforts for enterprise level organizations. Robert released his third book, You Don’t Have to Be a Shark: Creating Your Own Success published by St. Martin’s Press on May 17, 2016. Robert’s motivational business advice has received millions of impressions through TV, print, radio and digital media. He shares his expertise with other entrepreneurs each week as a leading Shark on ABC’s Emmy Award-winning hit Shark Tank.
John Donovan, Senior Executive Vice President-AT&T Technology and Network Operations, is responsible for AT&T's global network and its best-in-class mobile broadband network along with creating a modern, software-defined, and cloud-based technology ecosystem to support them.
Mr. Donovan is driving AT&T's global leadership position in the technological transition to separate hardware and software and virtualizing network elements to the cloud. His responsibilities also include oversight of the company's global information, software development, network technology and Big Data strategy; IT and digital planning, engineering, implementation and operations; network planning, construction and operations including security; field operations, installation and maintenance; global supply chain; and corporate fleet operations.
Mr. Donovan previously served as Chief Technology Officer for AT&T, overseeing the company's global technology direction and innovation road map, including product development, network and engineering operations, AT&T Labs and the security and intellectual property organizations.
Under Donovan's leadership, AT&T has turbo-charged its innovation programs and now is recognized as an industry leader in working with application developers and others to make AT&T's network open to collaboration and innovation.
Donovan previously was executive vice president of product, sales, marketing and operations at VeriSign Inc., a technology company that provides Internet infrastructure services. At VeriSign, Donovan was responsible for leading its global sales organization, driving the expansion of broad solutions offerings, and integrating a global professional services capability.
Before that, he was chairman and CEO of inCode Telecom Group Inc., where he helped shape strategic direction and positioning for wireless network operators around the globe. Previously, Mr. Donovan was a partner with Deloitte Consulting, where he was the Americas Industry Practice director for telecom.
Donovan serves on the Board of Directors for Palo Alto Networks. He has authored two books, The Value Enterprise, published in January 1998, and Value Creating Growth, published in 1999. Donovan received a B.S.E.E. from the University of Notre Dame and earned an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Minnesota.
Michael is the Chief Information Security Officer at Twitter. Previous roles include head of security for Mozilla, director of product security at a startup, Shape Security, and many years in offensive and defensive security roles to protect critical systems at banks, telecoms and government. Michael strongly believes that a company can be secure and still move quickly.
Michael is also the former chairman and a current member of the global board of directors for OWASP. Michael has been frequently sought out for security commentary from organizations such as Bloomberg West, Wall Street Journal, and Venturebeat. Michael has also been featured as one of SC Magazine’s Influential IT security minds. In addition to his work at Twitter and OWASP, Michael is a strategic advisor for several startups.
